Anybody’s race: Estonia’s 2016 presidential elections
Out from the very beginning First balloting round runner up for presidency Mr Allar Jôks, former Chancellor of Justice was the candidate for Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL) and Estonian Free Party. On the first balloting round Mr.Allar Jôks got 25 votes and this was the end of his run for presidency in the Parliament, because with these results he was not eligible for the second and third balloting round. Even though he still has a chance to be the president of Estonia, because new candidates can be presented now again when the election has moved from the Parliament to the hands of electoral college.
